Daytime Public Skate Cancellations

Daytime Public Skate Sessions will be CANCELED on: Jan. 18th & 19th, and Feb. 8th.
All evening public skates will remain active. Doors open 30 minutes prior to sessions.

The Zoo will not be opening until 2pm on Saturday October 26th and will be open for ZooBOO ONLY. Separate ticket is required.

Erie Zoo’s giraffe, Nigel, to leave for Midwest

Nigel, a 9-year-old giraffe, will leave the zoo at the end of this month, Scott Mitchell, Erie Zoological Society president and CEO, said on Thursday.
Nigel is leaving Erie for a zoo in the Midwest, Mitchell said. As part of the Erie Zoo’s $10 million capital campaign, Wild Open Spaces, it plans to make a larger and more interactive giraffe exhibit with a herd of giraffes, he explained.
