Statement Addressing Covid-19 Transfer to Animals

A statement from your Erie Zoo regarding Covid-19 transfer to animals:
 
In response to the recent report of Covid-19 transfer from a keeper to big cat species at the Bronx Zoo, we have implemented protocol that all keeper staff must wear masks and gloves when entering all animal holding areas..

Covid-19 Update: Temporarily Closed

In response to the directive addressing the Covid-19 (coronavirus) situation issued by Governor Tom Wolf, effective today, Tuesday March 16th, your Erie Zoo will be CLOSED for a minimum of two weeks. Please check our Facebook and website for up to date information as the situation progresses.

Experience Curling CANCELLED

In light of recent circumstances, we along with the French Creek Curling Club have decided to cancel all of the Experience Curling events we had scheduled for next week. 🥌
 
All those who purchased tickets already will be receiving a refund. We deeply apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience.

Zoo Classes Cancelled

All Erie Zoo classes are now cancelled until further notice in response to Covid-19 directives.

Covid-19 Prevention Measures

UPDATE: Your Erie Zoo is now temporarily closed.

At this time the Erie Zoo will remain open daily 10am-5pm as normal. Presently there are no cases of Covid-19 in the Erie area and we feel is safe to keep our gates open at this time.

St Patrick's Parade CANCELED

Due to recent statements from Governor Wolf and Mayor Schember regarding Covid-19 safety precautions, the Knights & Ladies of St. Patrick have decided to cancel the St. Patrick's Day Parade this weekend.
 
We are sorry for any inconvenience, but want to encourage everyone to practice proper hygiene, social distancing, and health precautions.
