On September 17th “Joe” joined the Erie Zoo family and became “Neo’s” new companion. Research shows that red panda cubs do best when raised together so this match was a great opportunity for continued healthy development for the two males.

The Erie Zoo is offering up something wildly different this school year~ 15 campers a day can join us for a wild adventure in remote learning. We will provide animal themed activities and walks around your child's remote learning schedule. All remote learning is through your child's school district. Campers will need to bring their own lunch. We will provide a snack and water bottle.    We will email you a separate form to fill out for your child's specific school information.

Now accepting ZooBOO 2020 volunteer applications! If you are interested in helping us with one of the biggest Halloween events in the region please apply today! Must be 14 years or older to
apply! Adults welcome! Due to the current situation, there will be modifications to our event.  Please complete the entire volunteer application and mail to P.O. Box 3268 Erie, PA 16508. If you have any questions call the Education Department at (814) 864-4091 ext. 223 or e-mail [email protected].

We would like to take a moment to give a BIG thank you to all the GalpaZOOza 2020 sponsors and ticket holders who generously donated their funding back to the Zoo after we had to make the difficult decision to cancel GalapaZOOza 2020 due to COVID-19. All funds supported the Erie Zoo’s Emergency Fund and continued recovery from the COVID-19 impact.

We're Hiring!

The Flo Fabrizio Ice Center (owned by the Erie Zoo) is looking for a part-time Zamboni driver. Must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license. Hours will include evenings and weekends.

The Erie Zoo is hiring part-time concession staff. Must be available on weekends. 

Just added: Full-time Maintenance position with the Erie Zoo & Flo Fabrizio Ice Center.

Despite the struggles the Erie Zoo has faced as a consequence of Covid-19, it is still our mission to better the world through conservation of endangered species.  All proceeds from this raffle will be divided equally and support SANCCOB (African Black-Footed Penguins) and the Lion Recovery Fund (African lions) conservation efforts. We hope you will join us in supporting these incredible organizations with an entry (or more!) to win this special quilt! Winner will be drawn on September 1st.

Your Erie Zoo welcomed not one, not two, but THREE bundles of joy on May 22nd! The babies were born to the zoo’s resident black and white ruffed lemurs, “Maddy” and “Manny”.
